Swing swing swing from the tangles of

I was just telling Sarah how we behave like pendulums. Swinging from vices to wholesomeness, to & fro, back and forth. Today, we were on the RIGHT side. Haha. In fact, we hung out during daylight hours, which is really rare in itself AND we didnt emit excessive greenhouse gases because we didnt have BOBBY BMW.

First up, it was a Nasi Lemak Sunday brunch at Adam Road Food Centre. Next, it was a walk-through-the-magical-wardrobe experience at Cluny Road. Tadah, we ended up in the Bukit Timah area of Botanic Gardens. It was a gorgeous Sunday, and we were blessed with plentiful sunshine, occasionally shade from the nimbus clouds and the blissful, fragrant breeze.

I think this is the Eco Lake.
Now you see the sun, now you dont.

We sat by the lake and marveled at our good fortune.
We couldnt hear the noises of urbanisation.
We couldnt see the evidence of the urban jungle.
We only saw azure blue skies, green rolling meadows, flowers in bloom and
happy families with children and pets in tow.

This lake is home to a delicate ecosystem,
which consists of 80% tortoises I believe.

These reptiles are the REAL bums.
They swim around looking for munchies to eat and then sunbathe.
Thats ALL they do.
Since they live sooo long, thats why they move so S-L-O-W.

This, I think, is the grand daddy of all tortoises.

Rahrah, wanted to do touristy shots.
So, at my brilliant suggestion, she did a classic '80s photo pose.
Remember your mom's pics with her holding on to the flower? Haha.
But this is a really pretty shot.

Beauty is found in a droplet of water, a ray of sunlight,
in the veins of a leaf and petals of a flower.
It's all around us, just keep them beautiful for me please.

Dixi is looking pensive in a very rare moment. Haha.
Just like a romantic leading man pining for his love.
Btw, welcome back Melsie! Haha :)

Take a bite of this huge piece of wholesomeness,
it tastes just like some warm homemade apple pie to me.
