Definitely more laid back and down to earth than the over-rated Cafe Del Mar over at Siloso.
Ohoh, there was a point in time when there came a bad stench.
I think the smell was probably due to the waste released from some big ass tanker nearby.
A pity, really.
Cesar salad, bruschetta, fried breaded button mushrooms and a margarita for Brekky!

We went past the Sentosa Flower Show & we decided to poke our nose around for a bit.
This is one of those typical stupid shots we die die must take,if not, we'll foam at the mouth & have fits & spasms.
So, thereafter, we met the rest & we had lunch at Asian Kitchen & the manager could speak extremely fluent mandarin when he didnt look like a Chinese at all. Pretty cool, i wanted to spam him with all the auspicious CNY greetings which i know when we were leaving, but the gang walked off too quickly. :( Anyway the entire lunch consisted of me asking them, "Soooo... Whats happening tonight?" Because my friends are damn good at digressing. Eventually, we came up with a brilliant supper plan at the Prata House at Thomson.
We watched Ah Long Pte Ltd at 4pm, but it wasnt much to crow about. Lame Singaporean-style insider jokes which were ridiculously funny at times. Other than that, it was pretty forgettable. Another one of those, leave-your-brains-at-the-door movies & laugh your money's worth.
Then it was Supper-time. It was mainly characterised by a reallyyyyy grumpy Indian Server who had a big attitude problem and the appearance of LZK's sister who looks like a carbon copy of him. Anyway, Happy 21st to Chris lim jia an. Haha. We are still waiting for you to host your partyyyyyy.
CNY day 1 (chu yi) was spent at the AhMah's place, sitting around, willing time to pass quickly and then attempt to exit as gracefully as possible. Then we visited Josh's place & met an adorable church friend of his. He certainly qualifies under the "young & juicy" category. Muahaha. After which, the two boys put me through another mini guitar boot camp cause I SUCK. haha.
CNY day 2 (chu er) was spent at the maternal grandma's place. I brought my book to read, but my eyes were peeled to the TV, watching some hilarious Taiwanese stuff. Evening was to Hua's abode for some Chocolate Fondue & a good nintendo Wii session. Anyway, the Chocolate Fondue was so make-shift and spontaneous, it would be funny for you to be able to witness the entire process.
First, it was Chris's call to say that NTUC was closed! We were intending to abandon our fondue plans, but it seems that Hua was willing to try. She scoured through her cabinet and found EVAPORATED MILK! It doesnt matter that we wanted to use whipping cream originally and that the can of milk expired in January too. Haha. I had brought along 120g of Old Gold Dark Chocolate, but it wasn't enough, especially since we added too much milk. So I was like Hua- do you have any chocolates at home? ANY KIND? Thankfully, she found a big bag of toberones! And we dumped them all in and added a spoonful of butter. After the heat & much stirring, it became this lovely dark brown concoction that smelled wonderful too.
Part two of the challenge, finding things for us to dip into the sauce. So theres the usual Apples, Oranges. Ritz biscuits. Then hua was like - I have KUEH LAPIS! Alright, that will have to do too. Then AZ was like- how about frozen pratas (inspired by josh's dad)? Hua then looked around the freezer and found ONE. So he pan-fried the prata, and boy, it was good with chocolate!
After the rich feast of chocolate, pizza, some had bakkwa and I had to drink copious amounts of lychee martinis from Chris, we started our Wii-ing. Chewbacca is damn violent in the Starwars game, its adorable! I wanna play more Wii Sports like tennis, bowling and boxing. Next up, Cheese Fondue & more wii-ing.
The night is still young, apparently, Dixi & Sarah wanted to go out to gai gai because they have been bored at home during CNY. So they picked me up & we went to Holland V first, ECP next.
We took our mat along, bought some hot tea from McCafe and brought it to a dark grass patch near the beach and had the emo talk which consisted of me listening, while lying under the stars/clouds. I guess its somewhat appropriate to be in a pensive and reflective mood during the lunar new year, after all the rowdy activities brewing around you.
In retrospect, the 2 of them can remember many specific events but I cant even think of anything really significant which had affected me in the same way, to the same extent. I dont think I'm jaded yet, so haha, maybe I'm the REAL good-girl. Unlike my dear Ms Sarah whose been trying too hard! My life's events seem to be blurry and faded, not that they were forgettable or boring, but simply because my memories are pretty hazy. I'd say the past 20 years have been pretty smooth sailing although I know it wasnt entirely happy and carefree. In fact, if u scroll down this page, you'll get an idea of the some stupid things I had to go through recently, but I think i have the most amazing ability to forget unhappiness really fast and thoroughly. I guess thats another blessing which i can count in the year of the rat.
Anyhow. Day 3. Josh woke me up at 10+am with his sms and visited me at 11+am. And my cousins & other relatives showed up and mistook him for my boyfriend. hahahahaa. Hilarious. Zzzzzzzz, well right now I'm just really sleepy. Especially since, I slept at 4+am this morning and its been a series of late nights since I dont know when.
