Ant bites, blisters and cold calls

I disappoint myself sometimes. I got so uber annoyed this evening at the accumulation of trivial things. GGGrahhhh. I shall not elaborate, if not I might get pissed off all over again. It's a mystery how I let these things get to me, when I know I had a nice day overall! Or is it just a thinly disguised form of self-consolation?

Anyhow, the week started with a Promotion! Wow. This is cool shit, except that I havnt even gotten my first paycheck yet. Haha. Also, I have a lot of reservations of how things are run in the company, not that I'm a know-it-all snob. I just happened to notice some of the things which we shouldn't do, in light of the event which we just held last Thursday evening. We'll see... At least I have Issac, who got thrown into these murky waters with me and I think the prospects look kinda promising.

Anyway... Horrors of horrors, it's week 9 already! The week break rocketed past, along with my Finance, Audit & Tax mid-terms. I vaguely remember the pre-party dinner, on Friday night with the girls at Pepperlunch, because Ma Maison was FULL. Then, the lift-off party at MOS, plus Sarah's extraordinary barfing experience, followed by the weird atmosphere in Smoove. Finally going home at 4am to find my area being combed by the Special Command Operations & Gurkhas.

Saturday was a nice and wet day. Who cares about going to Waikiki and getting your feet all dirty in that wet sand, when you can sleep in? It didnt matter that I only had about 4 hours of sleep though. Time is precious, especially when you only have 1.5 days to make up for the loss of one entire week break! Anyway, Az & I had a baking session in the morning, so that I can send a cake to Nikki, the birthday girl. After which, I found my way to Braddell & delivered the cake to Nikki's house. And after that I met hua & co for dinner at Upper Thomson Road. Some Nam Kee Chicken Rice place with zi char dishes. Decent, I suppose. Went back to hua's place to chill, play more HEDBANDZ and tennis. Real tennis, after so long. As in tennis with rackets and balls flying out of the court, not WII virtual tennis! Haha! It was fun alright.

The cake nicely dressed up in a luxe-looking box.

Sunday was spent doing POSC202 term paper. What a way to top off my week break! But I dont think that it was as bad as it sounded actually. I found it rather therapeutic to read about the death tolls associated with Stalin, Mao & Deng. Hahaha. While you're slogging through the references and struggling with writers' block, you know that deep down in your heart, Facebook is still very very important in your pathetic life when a random guy from Israel proposes to you via the Spark application. Haha.
